Review:
Summary: A handsome and expertly-researched contemporary photographic record of the places in London featured in the Canon, including a detailed contemporary map.

Detail: An excellent addition to any Game-playing Holmesian or Sherlockian library. Over 200 contemporary photographs bring to life Canonical London locations large and small, with extracts of text and an expert commentary. The usual suspects are well covered: Baker St, Whitehall, Northumberland Avenue, but also gems like the Lowther Arcade (FINA) and the Foreign Secretary's private office (NAVA). Also includes Bacon's Large Scale Ordnance Survey map of London, 1888.
