Review: The plot is neat (and I think I recognise in it an element from Margery Allingham’s novel Death of a Ghost), the characterisation effective, and the reproduction of Dr Watson’s narrative style competent. Mr Kelly has not achieved the near-perfection of Denis O. Smith’s and June Thomson’s pastiches, but his story is very enjoyable. You can read one of the tales free at Baker Street Books to see how well he’s captured the Canonical style. There are eight booklets so far.
