The notes are full, informative and accurate, drawing on the whole range of scholarship that this greatest of the chronicles of Sherlock Holmes has inspired. There’s an overview of the candidates for Baskerville Hall, and a summary of the chronologists’ findings. Gasogene have done their usual nice job in producing a strong, attractive soft-cover volume, and the result is a worthy continuation of a most important and stimulating project.
