Sherlock Holmes and the LusitaniaType of material: Softcover book Author: Lorraine Daly Publisher: Ian Henry Publications Ltd (20 Park Drive, Romford RM1 4LH Year: 1999 Pages: Price: £15.99 Review: Sherlock Holmes and the Lusitania by Lorraine Daly is an exciting tale of the Great War. Von Bork is captured, so who is responsible for the acts of sabotage at Royal Naval dockyards, culminating in the loss of RMS Lusitania on 7 May 1915? Shadows arise from Holmes and Watson's past - from the Baskerville case and the business of the naval treaty - and we learn that Watson's second wife was the former Violet Hunter. It's a good read, though a different typeface might have made it an easier one. Reviewed by: Roger Johnson, [District Messenger 187, 1999]
