Review: It's a pleasure to recommend The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes III, which includes The Man with the Twisted Lip, The Musgrave Ritual, The Cardboard Box and The Blue Carbuncle, unabridged and superbly read by David Timson, one of our great vocal actors. His Jim Browner and James Ryder are outstanding, but all the characters are beautifully personified, and the reading is excellently paced.

The music, by Holbrooke, Bridge, Moeran and Paganini, is chosen by David Timson from the wonderful Naxos catalogue, and complements the narratives admirably.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes III, like its two predecessors, is something to treasure, like all the Naxos output.
