Review: A phantom seems to be haunting Murphy's Theatre of Varieties, and a rising comedian's life is threatened. As the comedian in question is the great George Robey, we know that he'll survive, but it's fun to see how Holmes handles the case.

As always, Val Andrews is on sure ground with the world of variety. He has an inventive imagination, and he writes good, clear English. I enjoyed Sherlock Holmes at the Varieties very much.
