This illustration is one of my favourites. Again, I couln't resist playing a bit with JAVA, but I think this picture is well suited for this little game. The illustration itself is an eloquent study of the ageing detective deep in thought on the shore for
Liberty Magazine's publication of The Adventure of the Lion's Mane in its issue of 27 November 1926.
